I’m Helen – (Barbara O’Leary nee Morris’ cousin) and lived  just down the road from her in St Helens.  (I was brought up in Rainford Road in a house opposite ‘Holmdale’ the house where your great grandparents raised their 9 children.)

Extra details, in the order of information given by Marianne, are as follows:

Madge, I am almost certain, died in 1976 – certainly after August 4th ’76 since I and my husband went to see her in hospital that day (our wedding day).

Margaret Wilson’s daughters are Janet, Pauline, Karen and Susan.

William Ditchfield was known as Bill to the family.  I’m 99% certain he died in an accident on his motorbike, not a car.

My mother, Anne Gertrude, married June 3rd 1941.  She died December 12th 1974.

I married Peter Page Aug 4th 1976 and have two daughters Anne Elizabeth and Katharine Margaret – both now married.

The Crank descendant Marianne mentions was Ethel Crank (never married).  She taught at St Thomas of Canterbury (Windleshaw) school in St Helens.  I should think your mother and your Aunt Gertrude would remember her.
